As a foster care social worker and the founder of Grace In A Case, I’ve transformed my own experiences as a former foster youth into a mission. Having faced reality of life packed in a trash bag, I aim to replace that with luggage for children entering the foster care system. My work emphasizes dignity and identity, advocating for legislation in Michigan to make luggage mandatory, with plans to extend this change to and beyond. I’m committed to shifting mind and proving that lived experience combined with can lead to meaningful change, ensuring no child feels disposable.
